VCMM has been selected as a finalist for the 2023 24th HKABA Business Excellence Award

The HKABA 24th NSW Chapter Business Awards 2023 Gala Dinner


On the 13th of October, the 24th Hong Kong-Australia Business Association (HKABA) New South Wales (NSW) Chapter Business Awards Gala Dinner was held in the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth Hotel Grand Ballroom.


The event aimed to recognize and inspire businesses or individuals who have pursued excellence in international trade and business between NSW, Hong Kong, and the Greater Bay Area over the past year.




The event was attended by nearly 400 prominent guests, including the Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Sydney, Trista Lim Mei-Yee, Minister for Industry and Trade, Anoulack Chanthivong, Member of the Australian Liberal Party Mark Coure, the President of the Hong Kong-Australia Business Association NSW Chapter, Sheldon Mak, and the Chairman of the 2023 Business Achievement Awards event, Felicia Hon. These attendees represented a mix of government officials, business leaders, sponsors, and supporters.


The main guests, sponsors, award nominees, and key members of the Hong Kong-Australia Business Association attended the award ceremony.

Prominent political and business leaders delivered speeches, and everyone expressed their delight in bringing the Gala Dinner back to Sydney this year. It was an official recognition and celebration of the achievements of businesses.


Since its inception in 2000, the HKABA NSW Chapter has played a crucial role in promoting business cooperation, growth, and innovation. This grand event also provided the business community with a unique opportunity to come together, celebrate, inspire one another, and collectively drive the prosperity of international trade and business between New South Wales, Hong Kong, and the Greater Bay Area.


The evening's featured guest performer was Hong Kong TVB actor, Joe Ma Tak Chung.


To enhance the atmosphere of the Gala Dinner, the organizers specially invited past Business Achievement Award-winning companies to attend. They also invited Hong Kong TVB actor Joe Ma Tak Chung and a special band to perform live, creating a memorable and enjoyable experience for all participants.

The 24th HKABA Business Awards had a comprehensive set of criteria for evaluation, including factors such as domestic and international revenue growth, local community impact, contributions to the industry and society, innovation and creativity, product and service quality, marketing strategy, financial achievements, and professional business practices. The judging panel carefully considered these aspects through various dimensions, leading to the selection of outstanding companies as finalists.
